Bertie is in a coma whilst his wife enjoys the high
life. Witness the rise and fall of this couple living
under the Heathrow airport flight path. Based on
a real phenomenon airlines would rather we
didn’t know about, this film is a little thing with a
lot of impact.

This is part of a live music/cinema performance called “Dream.” Rebecca Zimmerman, cellist, Paul Hamilton, pianist. Composed by Arvo Pärt.
Filmed by Paul Hamilton & Caleb Vinson, December 2010 – January 2011. Canon 7D’s, various lenses, Zacuto Z-Finder, Zacuto Striker rig, Manfrotto tripod, etc etc.
We didn’t record/film the performance – so for now I am using a recording Rebecca and I made during a rehearsal – so we’ll update the better recording soon!
Caleb shot the entire closing sequence – and all of his moves are handheld – amazing work my man!!!!
The video features Rebecca Zimmerman & Jeremy Attanaseo. Well done… Rebecca you get an award for endurance under extreme conditions!!!

Insomniac Events invited us out to the Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas grounds a little early this year to film some behind the scenes action leading up to the biggest festival in North America. They wanted to show the fans a little bit of what goes into the production for the event as well as build a some hype before the show.
95% of the build took place at night because of the desert heat during the day. Shooting took place over three days from Monday-Wednesday and edited during the day for release Thursday the day before the festival began. It was a grueling 3 days but amazing to see and be a part of the creation of a festival of this magnitude.
Friday the rest of the crew came in and we shot through the festival for the official after-movie which will be released in August!

One and a half year ago, Chemnitz was my first testing ground for tiltshift-timelapse technique. I still live here, but next year, same time I’ll surely be gone – so this is my tiltshift-goodbye!
I shot about 29.000 pictures from April to August with Canon 50d.

I first became aware of Michael Levin’s photographs in 2010. His photographs of everyday places and common subjects are transformed into something much more when he views them through his lens…absolutely stunning! Being that a large majority of Michael’s work is done in Japan, I instantly had a connection to it as I too have a bond with Japan and have traveled and documented the landscape extensively in my own way. After watching my film Hayaku (vimeo.com/12112529 (http://vimeo NULL.com/12112529)) Michael contacted me regarding a project he was working on and felt it might be of interest to me. He told me that he really appreciated my work and recognized the dedication and effort that went into it. I agreed to go on a trip with him to Japan and work on his project. But for me, there was a greater opportunity at hand. We had several conversations and I gave him some ideas about expanding the project and he really took to it. A month later and we were in Japan having beers and sushi.
I wanted to document Michael at work, in Japan, in a way that hasn’t really been explored with photographers. I told Michael of my idea to make an artistic representation of his experiences in the Land of the Rising Sun – to show him in his working environment in a way that complimented his work. Not to explain it with words, but to feel it through the flow of the film. I wanted to show the process, the journey, the adventure in a way that would give the viewer an emotional connection to Michael and his photography.
The final result is something that I think is truly original… something that showcases who Michael is, and more importantly, what his work is all about. This film is a collaboration between Michael and I and our love for photography, film, Japan and adventure. This is a subject that Michael and I are continuing to explore as we plan more trips together, more films and more adventures.
I hope you enjoy!
